The Right to Live in Peace
-through noticing the world around me-
how we act as if we’re doing them a favor
by not revolting –saving the blood.
It’s ironic if you think that this is what drives it over the edge.
I can’t say we have been actively looking for ways to peacefully revolt
but some would agree that we are passively approaching a dead end.
But we’re in our comfort zone, hypocritically
condemning violence regardless of origin
-excluding of course the one that will come out of us at zero-point.
We'll be excusing ourselves then.
It is widely believed that if we free ourselves, chaos will befall us`
and just to prove ourselves right, we imprison the reaction
until it grows and builds.
Our need to be right on saying that the glass is half-empty
disguises our guilt for not appreciating that it is actually also half-full.
At this moment in history, improving the human factor comes first,
as well as realizing that we won’t conquer earth
if we destroy it before being made aware of what connects us to it.
Living free in nature, we can see
she does not require an exchange for the ability to nourish us.
Living free in nature, we can see
she belongs to no one, so there is nothing to split as she was meant to be shared.
By not disguising our gratitude as need,
we express our respect towards life
without violently imposing our freedom.
There’s no need to revolt.
It is enough if we are standing our ground while we are exercising our rights.
