The Courage

Anything outside our comfort zone, creates fear.
If we don’t swim in the waters of kindness though,
how do we expect fearlessness when we’re being showered with it?
There are two versions right now`
someone will splash us with theirs
or we will have to dive into ours for them.
We may shiver.
Maybe get cold.
Definitely surprised.
Anything dark, creates fear.
If we don’t shine our light on the “invisible enemy” though,
how do we expect fearlessness when the sun goes down?
There are two points of view`
they will shine brighter and we will be part of their shadow
or our own flame will be extinguished by them.
We may go blind.
Maybe get burnt.
Definitely exposed.
Anything that surprises us and exposes us, creates fear.
If we bring it up lovingly though,
that which could be an enemy develops into a precious friend,
through having the will to see the alliance's potential.
The only way to win a fight in the name of peace
is by us all to be on the same side.
And we are so lucky that,
unknowningly, we already happen to be there.
Human nature experiences both fear and love.
Its godly substance appears when it knows it is whole
no matter what space those two states of being occupy.
We may fear.
Maybe love.
Definitely experience.
Anything new, creates fear.
But if we really want change,
realism will not suffice.
We have to learn how to stand brave.
